Pagès Content Orange is a natural orange wine from their Parellades de El Pla del Penedès estate in Catalonia’s Penedès region, Spain. Crafted by Toni Carbó and Anna Serra, this skin-contact wine is a blend of Macabeo (85%), Xarel·lo (10%), and Sumoll (5%), sourced from old vines planted in 1970 on biodynamic, clay-calcareous soils. Named “Happy Farmer” to honor traditional Catalan winegrowers, the grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes, undergo two weeks of whole-cluster maceration, and ferment spontaneously with native yeasts in cement vats for six months. Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and without added sulfites, it’s a true minimal-intervention wine.
