La Granja

$30.00

The wine has a luminous, light pink hue, with aromas of juicy damson, red cherry, almond, and Mediterranean herbs, accented by a touch of volatility that softens with air. On the palate, it’s energetic and robust, with mouthwatering acidity, ripe fruit compote flavors, and a subtle mineral depth. At 13.8% alcohol, it’s vibrant and versatile, pairing well with asparagus salad, feta, pork chops, or BBQ dishes. Limited production (around 2,000 bottles) highlights its artisanal, terroir-driven character.

Description

La Granja is a natural rosé wine from their Pacs del Penedès estate in Catalonia’s Penedès region, Spain. Crafted by Ignasi Seguí, this field blend comes from a small sub-hectare parcel of younger vines planted in 2013 on organic, biodynamically certified clay-limestone soils. It combines Xarel·lo, Xarel·lo Vermell, Monastrell, Forcada, and Moneu, co-fermented with native yeasts after a 5-day skin maceration and aged for 5 months in chestnut barrels. Bottled unfiltered and without added sulfites, it’s a minimal-intervention wine.
